TITLE: Sales Director at Climax Beauty
Location: New York, NY
Benoit Harpin, Inc. “Climax Beauty” is seeking a Sales Director.
Job responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities for each brand by developing new and existing client relationships;
- Lead retailer negotiations, including launch planning and margin agreements;
- Manage merchandising strategies for both in-store and online channels, including assortment planning, marketing campaigns, and content optimization;
- Customize sales and marketing initiatives based on retailer-specific needs and best practices;
- Drive sales through digital marketplaces such as Amazon and broadcast platforms like QVC;
- Coordinate with brand and warehouse teams to implement special programs and increase wholesale revenue;
- Supervise a team of three sales staff by setting KPIs, providing strategic guidance, and conducting regular team and individual meetings;
- Identify skill gaps, manage workload distribution, and optimize team performance;
- Develop business plans with retail partners to maximize revenue and profit, including negotiations for promotional and sampling support;
- Prepare monthly sales and operational reports and oversee unit demand forecasting by brand;
- Collaborate with brand operations teams, warehouse staff, and third-party agencies to ensure timely order fulfillment;
- Represent the brands professionally and ensure message consistency across all channels.
Minimum Education/Experience Req:
- 4 years of on-the-job experience working as Sales Director, Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Retail Partnership Manager or closely related occupation;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in wholesale sales, including direct experience with independent beauty boutiques and QVC;
- 1 year of experience organizing or leading participation in industry trade shows;
- 1 year of experience using Microsoft Excel, including use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and building sales reports;
- 1 year of experience using ERP systems;
- and 1 year of experience working within the European market to identify new brand opportunities.
